As featured in “Renovate and Extend” magazine. The client wanted this tri-level townhouse to have the feel of a five star hotel. The renovations included new travertine flooring with underfloor heating, new open plan kitchen, new ensuite and powder rooms. With some minor structural work views were created from the front garden through the main living areas and to the marina behind.

The formal living room features a custom made wool rug inset within the stone floor. A one-off designed transparent coffee table allows the rug to have maximum impact. A new gas fireplace was installed, complete with built-in plasma television and concealed peripherals.

The ensuite was completely stripped and extended to provide a private recess for the pan. Elegant “fountainbleau” stone wall tiles were given a chamfered edge to create a striking groutless v-junction. A custom made double vanity with bevel-edged mirror splashback completes the opulent 5-star feel.

The new open plan kitchen features polyurethane doors with a metallic additive for a unique shimmering effect. The marble island, benchtop and splashback make a stunning focal point amid the off-white background.
